I've blogged about this before, too (the way real kitchens run, not pumpkin cheesecakes, BTW). In my cooking show, the camera would pan back to show 2 dogs sitting on the kitchen floor, waiting for scraps, and 5 kids waiting in the wings, asking to lick the bowl, be driven to soccer practice or asking for money!! Ha!! I’ve blogged about this before, too (the way real kitchens run, not pumpkin cheesecakes, BTW).

And I have to agree, fear of failure and not knowing how to alter our recipes when something doesn't go exactly according to plan is probably one of the biggest thing that keeps people out of the kitchen.
