When I heard of the recent hot weather up there, the first thing I thought of was "oh Peabody's going to melt!". Hopefully it will get cooler there.

The papers are full of complaints about the weather here in GB being too cold and rainy. But I am happy as Larry.
When I lived in Seattle, and it was over 100, I just went swimming in the lake all day. Seattle isn't really geared up for hot weather.
Your dog is so cute. Poor baby, having to wear a fur coat in such hot weather!

Pea, here, on the other hand, it's rainy and cold - I like cold, but don't like rainy. :S

Every time you mention your mom I think of those homemade jams of hers... They must be delicious, just like this crisp!
