Philly Take Two….

Saturday was game day and the whole reason we came. We started off by going to brunch back at Khyber Pass Pub. We loved it so much on Thursday night and noticed that they offered brunch on the weekends. I had the praline bacon and pork belly corn dog. Yes you read that right...I had pork-fest 2013 and once again OMFG incredible! We then headed to the arena. It was a day game and we arrived to a parking lot full of tailgating fans. To say the Philly fans are intense is putting it mildly but I can't help but love their passion. We had such a great time and even though the Flyers lost the experience will stay with me and MDP. And you have to love that their pretzels are in the shape of the Flyers symbol! That night we met up with Kita (Pass the Sushi) and her man and tried Eulogy Belgian Tavern which had an amazing selection of beers! I want S’more mint…

I’ve gotten a slew of emails as of late as people seem to be under the impression that my life is exciting. I can assure you it is not. :) But I figured I would go ahead and answer the most asked questions. #1: What does MDP do for a living? He is an electrician…very good with his hands ;) (bad I know but come on…had to go there). #2: How’s the foot? The foot is pretty good though for the first time in forever (ironically the day I was “cleared” to play hockey…yes I have been playing for 5 weeks already) it started hurting. But other than that it’s been pretty good. #3: What do you want for Christmas? I really don’t know actually. I am in love with this idea but it’s highly impractical for a stuffed animal. I wouldn’t mind Sorrel Joan of Artic Boots in gray even though I already own a pair of Sorrels. No means no…

If you watch Seinfeld did you ever see the episode where George tries to break up with a girl and she told him no? In my mid-twenties I had the same thing happened. I was dating a nice enough boy but after a few months I knew he wasn’t the one or even close to the one and so I broke up with him. He told me no. I was like what? I had been sick at the time and he told me that I must have a fever and I was delusional from the fever and we were too good to break up. And he left. Umm. So then I called him later to tell him no, we were indeed not together anymore. And again I got that I was sick and not thinking clearly and that we were still together. He would call as if everything was normal and I would remind him that we were broken up and he would tell me we were not. I finally broke down and called the largest, meanest friend I knew to go tell him that we were no longer together and to leave me the heck alone.
