I am a huge Big Bang Theory fan. Partially because I went to school with those characters. When you are in the mathematical sciences you are pretty much the only girl in most of your classes. If you know the show at all I used to have a Howard that sat behind me in Applied Material Science Engineering class and smell my hair every day. And yes, it’s as creepy as it sounds. It’s Spring Break this week and it’s our year with the skids. That means we are probably watching quite a bit of Big Bang Theory as I lucked out that they have learned to love it too. One of my favorite episodes is when Penny is practicing to be a bartender and wants all the guys to help her. Sheldon as always was difficult. Sheldon: I'll have a diet Coke. Kids don’t sell this on the corner….

I’m really starting to embrace the idea of cocktails on my blog…it certainly has made afternoon laundry time far more fun! Oh who am I kidding…I’m not doing laundry but I was thinking about doing it (and it’s the thought that counts…right up to the point where you don’t have clean underwear). :P While some people are getting slammed with snow as of late we have been on a warming trend and the yellow ball called the sun has actually been visiting the Seattle area (perhaps it’s on vacation). If the sun is out I either want ice tea or limeade (I like lemonade too but I really like limeade). And since it’s tax time…I want my limeade to be spiked. :) Key lime is one of my favorite flavors in life so I figured I would make a key lime-limeade this time around. Other than the not so awesome task of juice little tiny limes it was the way to go. I love the extra little kick of tart that it adds. Is that even legal???

So one of the highlights of our Philly trip was me experiencing the Peach-Butter Pecan Pie Milkshake that Franklin’s Fountain made. I knew I had to try and recreate it. And yes they really do serve it with a whole piece of pie on top…not to mention the pie in the actually milkshake as well. Pure genius. Evil genius, but genius nonetheless! It’s not exactly peak peach season right now and I never like to make things exactly how I had them anyway…. so I switched the peach out for apple because I love me some apple pie. And instead of butter pecan I added caramel to it because caramel makes everything better…well it doesn’t make clean up better. Now I made the ice cream and I made the pie for this. As I mentioned on FB I have been wanting to bake/cook big time just haven’t had the time. This weekend is my first time where I didn’t have anything! Don’t you just love those weekends? Just your average day…

First off, if you didn’t read my last post (I know the cookies were not that exciting looking) please go and at least read the last paragraph. It’s important to me. Thank you. And now on to the regularly scheduled post: There have been a slew of troll action on the food blogs as of late. I personally just delete it or make fun of them on here but one of them went after a kid blogger which is messed up. If they get out of control I block their IP address. This last week a troll had a campaign to email me repeatedly letting me know that how nice it was that I just sit around in my sweats all day eating chocolate and getting drunk. And one of the times something about sitting around doing my nails. So let’s address this shall we: 1. If I’m going to be sitting around all day eating something it’s not going to be chocolate.
