In moving I have discovered that I am the worst purger ever. Good thing I’m going up in space and not down. Going down in space would really suck right about now. The biggest issue I have of course is cookbooks. I thumb through one to decide if I should keep it or donate it. Only to waste 10 minutes reading through it. Only to decide to keep it. I mean how can you get rid of The Confederate Cookbook? You laugh but it has great southern recipes…see I am doomed. :D In other moving news the dog is a wreck. CCS is literally afraid of boxes. So you can imagine how upset she is. She has run into more stuff in the last couple of days then she ever has before. And she is in complete panic mode. I wish they made doggie vodka to take the chill off for her. :P She already takes puppy Prozac (for real) but that helps with her every day stuff not the new apartment maze of boxes. I found stamps. *The president was in town on Friday. He didn’t stop in and say hi. How rude. :) *Yes Paula Deen makes food that is bad for you. So do I. She has diabetes. This should shock no one. I don’t have diabetes, I’m going to guess because I weigh less than her and workout daily. And when I make a batch of brownies I don’t sit around and eat the whole batch (I chop them up and put them in muffins). *I swear spiders are mathematical geniuses knowing how to calculate the exact distance to make sure you can see them but you can’t get to them to squash them. And they just stare you down with their wee beady eyes secretly plotting your death and waiting for you to go to bed. *I’m not really loving any of the new cookbooks coming lately. Seems to be the same recipes over and over again just in a different book. *I think the clutter on my counter is reproducing. “Peabody you are a naive idiot. I’m a stay at home mom and not only do I not have enough money to have a gym membership, I don’t have enough money for daycare. So yes there are some woman that choose to leave their children while they go work out but not all mothers have that luxury. Watch what you say or STFU.” That’s the joy of running your own blog, I don’t have to shut the f*ck up nor watch what I say. For the record, I have more stay at home mom friends than I do working mom friends. My mother was a stay at home mom. Once I was school age she went to work part time but didn’t go to work until after I left for school and was back by the time I was home from school. Though my mother will tell you that she thinks people (mostly women, there are stay at home dad’s) make it much harder on themselves than it needs to be. How to ruin a 7 year olds birthday party…

"Peabody, I will have you know that you taking down your website RUINED my 7 year daughter’s birthday party. My daughter had requested your Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cake which we served for my husband’s birthday a couple of months ago. Imagine my surprise when I opened up my browser to see that your site is no longer running. How am I supposed to make this cake if you site is down? Why put up a website only to take it down? I waited all Saturday night and all Sunday morning for your site to work, I even went to my neighbors to see if it was my computer. I am beyond upset. I had to serve a store bought cake to my guest and daughter. She was crushed." Oh goodie, let’s add Child Birthday Ruiner to my resume shall we, right after ball buster and before dream crusher. First off, I did not voluntarily take my site down. It crashed. My ex (aka webmaster) was out of town and could not see what was wrong as he was in the sticks with very little connection.
