What a week….

Ahhh, I missed my little blog. This has been one crazy week last week and not really in a great way. First and most mind consuming is that my sweet pup is sick. So an emergency trip to the vet was in order…except I can’t drive so that became quite an ordeal that is a story for another time as I have no energy at all. She is doing better but I still worry. :( I got many an email asking about how the foot is doing…in a nutshell…not good. I was told to rest and put my foot up until I went back to the Ortho next Friday. I have done none of that. And as of a result I am paying the price. I am quite sure the Ortho will yell at me and tell me I’m not healing and it is numb up to the knee cap most of the time. :S Bad Peabody. I miss getting to do normal things like oh say DRIVE. Stand for more than 30 minutes. Baking things complicated (like practicing wedding cakes!) hence today’s recipe. **Screw Zombies, I am afraid of a spider apocalypse. Last night while having a bit of insomnia I upgraded my toe nails to Domestic Goddess by OPI from the chipped whatever color that was on them. While calmly doing my nails just trying to avoid dog hair...dropped from the F&*$ing sky was a spider that landed in my wet nail polish on my big toe. I’m not sure why a blood curdling scream did not spew from my mouth. I think I was past screaming. I mean here was a tiny to most/huge to me black with now a touch of purple spider squirming on my freaking toenail. I hyperventilated while the dog watched me strangely flail around and freak out. With the world’s largest wad of toilet paper I removed the spider but spent the rest of the night on the lookout for the spider paratroopers. **If you want to hear me squeal then you should have been at the grocery store yesterday when my favorite bacon was on sale…and then there was a coupon on top of that. If I made every recipe I ever bookmarked, printed out , or wrote down on a sticky note I would have to live to 237 years old to get them all done. I’m sure you can relate. I’m sure you have seen a recipe, got all excited about it, wanted to make it and then…shiny squirrel. The next thing you know you are distracted and the moment has passed. Last Summer I saw Cakespy add chocolate chip cookie dough into Cinnamon Rolls. And while I loved the idea of stuffing cookies into cinnamon rolls I was anti the chocolate chip cookie. Seemed weird to me. I decided that I would make them but with Oatmeal Raisin cookies because to me, those go better with cinnamon. And then…shiny squirrel.
