I met Jessie years ago when she invited me to her birthday party that they were having at a local cupcake shop. I had already loved her Cakespy blog and we had communicated via email and what not but meeting her in person was the best. If ever there was a more happy person (for real not the fake happy crap) and a more genuine person it is Jessie. When MDP and I went out to Philly she just happened to be living there at the time. She met up with us for lunch one day while we were there. After she left (she gave me great recommendations before my trip on where to eat and every place was spot on delish!) MDP turned to me and said that’s the type of person you hope succeeds in life. And indeed I do! To help her succeed I went down to see her while she was here in Seattle. Weighing my options…

Other than when is the wedding the other question people feel compelled to ask me is if I am going to lose weight for the wedding. First off not telling right now when the wedding is but I will say it’s a while off. Wedding planning is fun and pretty…why would I want that to end? :) Plus it’s nice to have a wedding board for a reason instead of the oh gee I want to get married I guess I should get a boyfriend board. :P As for the second thing….first off how rude? And second am I going to lose weight for the wedding? Maybe. I have been tracking what I have been eating and sometimes I let that influence my choices and sometimes I don’t. And if at the end of it when it comes time to throw on the wedding dress and I am smaller so be it. If not, oh well. I wasn’t proposed to when I was a bikini model. I was proposed to how I look now. Bear sized….

A couple of weeks ago on the way home from work MDP called and asked if I need anything and I told him yes that I needed honey. He got to the store and text me what size. I wrote back “bear sized”. “Bear sized” he questioned. “Yep, bear sized” “That’s not a size” “It is for honey” Didn’t hear from him for a few. He called and said I am staring and four different sizes of bears. What size? I being annoying said “bear size”. I told him it was his choice. He brought back a gigantic bear filled with honey. I only needed 3 TBSP. :P He now randomly buys me small bear sized bottles of honey for no reason other than the thinks he is being funny, which in a way he is. But I now have a lot of honey. I decided to do a take on cornbread. I love sweet corn in desserts…sweet corn ice cream is pretty much my favorite flavor of all time. So I went searching for a cupcake version.
