I really can’t make fun of the made for TV Lifetime movies anymore that I end up watching when I have insomnia or am sick stuck on the couch and the remote has fallen to the floor. For in a way my life could end up as the movie of the week or better yet ABC Family’s Cutting Edge 4 (I think they are at 4)…yeah I like that idea better. Cutting Edge 4: Getting Defensive. Yeah, that has some ring to it…hey ABC Family…hit me up. :) Why the title? Well as most of you guessed (minus the person who thought we were twins) that is my boyfriend. We play defense together and have for a long while together. Since no one gets a real name but me on this blog we shall from this point on call him MDP…short for my defensive partner. Not clever I know. MPD eats everything btw, even green algae smoothies. John Hughes would be proud in the fact that we were friends for a REALLY long time (knowing each other 8 years) and best of friends for quite a while. If you ever watched Some Kind of … [Read more...]
Furbaby Friday….Dear Santa
Dear Santa, I know what you are going to say. I haven’t been on my best behavior as of late. I will not confirm nor deny that I dragged the trash throughout the house to get the paper towel covered in bacon grease. I will not confirm nor deny that I licked a batch of cookies when a certain person wasn’t looking. I will not confirm or deny that peed at my grandma’s house at Thanksgiving which I have never ever peed inside before ever. I will not confirm nor deny that I lunge at people’s hands in order to catch them off guard and they drop food and I just happen to pick that up for them with my mouth. I will not confirm nor deny that I roll in the clean laundry pile before it is folded. I will not confirm nor deny that I went on a hunger strike because I became a snob over food choices. I will not confirm or deny that I keep scratching up mom’s dining room chairs while begging for food which I know I am not supposed to do. Despite all that…look into my eyes. … [Read more...]
Furbaby Fridays: If I win the lottery….
I have as most of you know a soft spot for animals; I like them more than people that is for sure. I especially have a soft spot for dogs and rabbits, which is of course why I have them for pets. A little rare known fact about me (other than my close friends) is that my ultimate goal, as if in I ever won the lottery and could spend money however I want, is to own a large farm where dogs and rabbits that no one wanted could have a place to go. A dog and rabbit refuge so to speak. I picture a farm where dogs could run and play and big rooms full of couches for them to rest on if they so desire. I also see a little roadside stand that sells baked goods with the proceeds going to pay for dog food. :) There is a place here in Washington called Old Dog Haven, it’s the organization that I like to donate money (when I have it) to. Taking on a senior pet is hard. Crazy Cocker Spaniel turned 11 this year and already she has gone to the vet more times that I like to think for just random … [Read more...]
Fur Baby Fridays…
Some people have Wordless Wednesday, I think I might go to Fur Baby Fridays. I got into a rather lengthy discussion on Mother’s Day when I halfheartedly joked that my fur baby didn’t even get me a card, let alone make me brunch. I was immediately jumped at and let known not to trivialize the role of mother by saying having a pet was the same thing. I didn’t say that owing a pet was the same as being a parent, but consider this: Just like a baby, my dog has no way of feeding herself. If I let out her bowl she would most likely just eat and eat until she exploded like a goldfish. But I would still have to get the food to her bowl. When she pukes all over the side of the bed during the night and I start the morning accidently stepping in it, I’m the one cleaning it up. She barks and I don’t know what she wants…well, that’s a lie. She wants food, but I don’t know which she would prefer, chicken or bacon (bacon is my obvious choice). When she is sick, I must … [Read more...]
