1. Stayed up until 1 something in the morning Saturday night doing my taxes. I think I invented new swear words. The IRS says food bloggers are a business yet sadly I don’t get any of the benefits of having a home office as it gets used for other things like paying my bills on line. So I get to owe them money. Sigh. 2. Jury duty. Got out of it! Yay! Well didn’t get out of it they just never got to my group number and I was therefore released as of this afternoon! 3. After nine seasons of going to the championship and losing to the same team time in and time out my hockey team finally won in sudden death shoot out. Normally I don’t actually care about winning but darn that felt good. Especially because those guys HATE to lose. 4. People keep asking how the wedding planning is coming along. Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! And if you don’t celebrate it Happy Sunday. Reminder that Easter candy goes on sale tomorrow! Also a reminder that it is April Fool’s Day so watch out for those pranksters. Speaking of Easter candy...my shame candy so to speak (or the one I am ashamed to like) is Chicks and Bunnies (Brachs). Do you have one you are afraid to admit to liking?   Our favorite local watering hole (The Diamond Knot) got a remodel and opens back up next week but we got to go for a sneak peak night and see the new digs as well as try out the new menu. We are very in favor of the cheesy garlic bacon tater tots and their chicken and waffles dish! Most people will find this one silly. But Jarome Iginla got traded this last week. After Briere he is my favorite player and Jerome played for my favorite team the Flames. Copy That Ghost Rider…

So amongst the nice well wishes this week I did get a scathing 14 paragraph (yes, 14) email about how ridiculous it is that I run my (FREE to YOU) blog and don’t have a print recipe button for all of my recipes. This is not a new complaint to me and when the site got redone I added a print recipe button. When I first started my blog 7 years ago that wasn’t an option. It’s added now and the newer recipes have it. I will when I have time (so possibly never :P ) go back and add it to the old recipes. In the time the person took to write the 14 paragraphs to me they could have Googled how to get the recipe off my site. You might have heard of it…it’s called Copy and Paste. If you haven’t heard of it…Google it and it will change your life. I promise. With sprinkles on top. But in all seriousness people…copy and paste. It will take you about 30 seconds…less if you are quicker…longer if you are my mother (love you mom). None the less it’s not THAT big of a pain. … [Read more...]
