Survived Super Bowl...I didn't even really watch the commercials. Except the David Beckham one not because of why you are thinking but because a room full of hockey playing guys were less than thrilled it was on. Vodka Gummy Bears are very dangerous. There are a lot of snacks that have dairy or peppers in them at a Super Bowl Party. I got flowers, I am loved.  :) Crazy Cocker Spaniel keeps getting dragged out on walks. She is the worst walker in the world. She walks in a zig zag and stops every 12 seconds to sniff something. And usually not a good something. I get to play hockey tonight. This is the third time I have made Key Lime Pie Cupcakes. Each time a little different. This time the no bake key lime pie filling is used in the buttercream frosting as well. To see the other two versions go here and here. Each version is good, but then again I love all things Key Lime. Way Back Wednesday….my favorite Key Lime Pie…

First off I want to say if you haven’t voted PLEASE do. You can help keep this blog running by never even having to donate a $1 to me. You are always saying you want to, so please go vote for my farm. I believe you are allowed to vote every day. So if you can tell everyone you know to help!!! This is my favorite version of Key Lime Pie. It’s called camping pie because of the original post. The mascarpone really does add extra creaminess to an already creamy pie! Did I mention VOTE!!!! Unsolicited Advice…

Peabody’s current top ten advice to all the people who didn’t ask for it in the first place. :P 1. If you talk crap behind someone’s back, don’t be shocked or upset if someone does it to you. At some point in your life, even though it’s never right, you said something not so great about someone, maybe even your friend. So just know that if you are willing to talk about someone behind their back, they are willing to do the same. It’s human nature. 2. Treat others how you want to be treated. I’m a firm believer that Karma is a only a bitch if you are. If you go through life being an a-hole or a bitch don’t be shocked when people treat you horrible. You can’t call someone a pathetic excuse for a human being and expect them to come back and tell you what a great person you are. 3. Buy clothing that fits. When I was a WW leader my biggest advice for people was to buy clothing that fit. No one ever wants to do this. No one wants to admit they are the size that they … [Read more...]

One year olds got it right…

Remember when you had your first birthday party? Oh that’s right, of course you don’t. How about this, remember when your parents threw you are really large 1st birthday party for you? Oh that’s right, they threw it for them. But you were there. And so were your “friends”, aka children of their friends. Back in my day birthday parties were pretty low key. If you had a theme it was really just that the plates and napkins matched the invitation. Now days, little kids parties are insanely out of control in my opinion. I watch my friends plan these elaborate parties (and then usually complain that no one appreciated all the work they put into it), and while nice I just think you are SO not having this for the kid. Now, once they get toddler age that’s another story, don’t get me wrong. If they love elephants, then having a jungle party totally makes sense. I just don’t really get the balls out for the one year old. Or all the little gifts and that matching everything. I … [Read more...]
