Seriously these make no sense and are in no order except for the first one the first one rules our life currently. *This week is brought to you by the phrase: You can’t bleed a turnip. *Reminder: I am not home all day sitting on the computer waiting for you to email me with a question. So demanding immediate response because you are in the middle of making it probably isn’t going to happen. Also, my blog will be 8 years old this year (wow) and my memory is not as good as it used to be so try not to get mad at me when you ask about a recipe from 2007 that I don’t remember if it made 24 or 28 cupcakes. *Speaking of that I rarely put serving sizes on this blog. About as random as you can get….

I was having writers block (still am) and insomnia from the Sudafed and so I thought I would just write random crap since I have had this recipe ready for days but nothing to go along with it. I think I am going to put my dog on DogShaming.com. She has a serious used Kleenex problem. She used to try and hide it like all good closet snot eating dogs should but NO she has gotten so brazen that she really doesn’t care if we are standing right there. I had a college moment today where the machine was down and I needed gas or else I wasn’t going anywhere. So I had to scavenger my car for money. Just a little over $6 in change. I felt like a moron paying the guy mostly in nickels but hey, it is what it is buddy. I had the slight need to punch him when he suggested that I only get $5 something in gas and buy a lotto ticket with a spare dollar. After months of searching I finally found Key Lime Pie Vodka…pretty much about as yummy as expected. Now I am wishing I never found it. … [Read more...]

Maple Bacon Monkey Bread

I’m not totally sure how it started but someone suggested I run for President. I said no thanks that I had too many skeletons and it wasn’t a very fun job anyway. Then someone else piped up that I should just run for Congress then, as they are allowed to have skeletons. :) We had some lovely slogans all centered around my joke that I stay larger so people can see me better. :P We had things like “there’s more of me to love thanks to bacon” and “vote for Peabody I have more cushin’ for pushin’”. That last one coming from my bff in California who hates overly skinny women. :) To ensure I keep up with my figure to run for Congress I best figure out how to eat more bacon in my everyday life. We were discussing on my Facebook page how restaurants and recipes don’t call for enough bacon. You will notice this recipe calls for a pound. Karma, Karma, Karma….

Saying Karma is a very trendy thing to do. I probably hear it almost every day coming out of someone’s mouth. I find it most amusing that most of my friends who say it often are Christians. And well the concept of karma is a religious one coming to us from the Buddhist and the Hindus. And last I checked Christians only get to follow one God’s teaching? I’m not here to get into religion; I’ll leave that for Rick Perry. But I will say that I don’t really believe in Karma. I don’t really believe in the concept for the fact that #1 I am not a Buddhist or a Hindu and #2 far too many people I know that are good people have many a bad thing happen to them, and yet the people who I think in my life who could really get a good swift kick in the pants seem to continue to skate through life with things just kind of falling into place for them.
