My mother and I’s version of bread is what most people would call cake. :) As that point became clear when people made my Almond Joy Bread…I was told bread was used loosely. Live a little people. :P Since we are always talking about them and how one of these years my mom is going to write down some of the recipes for me and never does I decided that I would suggest strongly that we bake while I was visiting. So we baked three things I have wanted to bake and more importantly get the recipe for! I love this bread. The glaze gets hard (not like outside of chewy bread break your teeth kind of hard) and kind of seals the moisture in. We went mini with the loaves as we were dividing them up…as I needed to take at least one home to take pictures of. And for some reason my mother was insisting on keeping two herself. Apple a day….

Apple made their big iPhone 5 announcement today and while I will probably drink the Koolaid so to speak as my phone is up for renewal I am unhappy about one thing. My phone case. I love my phone case. It came from Japan from a friend. It’s Hello Kitty and I love it for the fact that it’s cute and the fact that it drives MDP crazy that almost everywhere we go someone compliments me on it. Yes this is clearly #whitegirlproblems that mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. :P Other #whitegirlproblems this week were the ladies complaining that the snack bar at soccer yesterday didn’t have premium coffee. Umm. Or the woman complaining that her husband bought her yoga pants from Costco instead of Lululemon. How dare he! Maybe he was trying to hint to you that you didn’t need $120 yoga pants for yoga that you don’t go to. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are out…and that means their waistline will expand. You could just not go. Nice package….

Dear Packaging, You suck. Me I realize that you don’t want to make it too easy to break into a package of razor blades from Costco but at some point I would like to be able to remove them from the package after I purchase them. My first problem was trying to do this with my bare hands. Perhaps it was my over inflated ego of my Physical Therapist telling me I had super strong forearms that made me think I could rip through the packaging. I could not. Then I decided to open it with the metal nail file that is attached to my toe nail clipper. I think you see where this is heading. Disaster and a new puncture wound. But that did not stop me, I finally punctured something other than me. Stupidly I assumed now that it was punctured I could rip it open with my bare hands again. Yep, not so much (I’m starting to think my PT was lying to me about my super forearms of doom). Some sort of plastic coating was not in my way. And you are….

So I know people on Facebook are upset about the new changes. I’m not here to discuss those changes. I’m here to discuss the phenomenon that is couples as one person on FB. I hate this. Because usually I’m not friends with the couple, I’m friends with one of the two people. So half the time when they post I don’t know who is actually posting. And then when you comment and it’s the other person and you thought that it was your friend they ask who are you? I’m C’s friend. Oh. Yes, oh. If you are going to make a joint account maybe only friend the people who you know together as a couple. Maybe only friend other people that are on joint couple accounts. Interestingly enough, most of the people I know that have these joint accounts usually have them because the significant other wants to make sure that nothing is going on behind their back.
