Feeling crabby…

We went to MDP’s work party this weekend…they like many work places that are busy during the holiday (end of year) choose to have their work party after the holidays. Before I got any hi nice to meet you (though I have met quite a few of the guys already) I had a shout out requests. :) “Can you do pulled pork again?” I asked what kind of pulled pork and I got any you do is great. “You owe me a peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake…I’ve been waiting patiently (and he really has…he said that a while ago).” Then the table kind of lighted up with realizing that I was the girl who was always sending food. And lots of people were kind enough to tell me that they loved my food. And then there is the guy to whom I am pretty much the crab and corn chowder girl. He asks all the time for me to make it and every time I say the same thing…not cost effective. Which he always says he will pay for it but I don’t think he truly realizes how much just the crab cost. Getting FEST-ive….

If we can’t figure out how to cure the common cold can we at least figure out how to harness the snot and make it into an alternative fuel source? Gross yes I know. It’s a food blog why talk about snot? Because darn it all we have useless gadgets galore and yet no one is working on this for me. At this rate with my cold I could have fuel for the remainder of the year. :) So I’m sick…but I’m not. I feel fine. With the exception of producing a large amount of what I hope to become an alternative fuel source…and just on one side. And I can’t sleep because I am hopped up on Sudafed. Which I had to sign my life away for and be judged by the pharmacist for having to ask for it. They scan your driver’s license. So odd. So when I am sick I want two things and two things only carbs (usually in the form of cinnamon-sugar toast…but I need my mom around to cut the crust off :) ) and soup. We’re in the Navy now…

While my parents were here I made them watch Horrible Bosses. I am highly amused by that movie especially: Nick Hendricks: I was drag racing. I'm a drag racer. Detective Samson: You were drag racing? Nick Hendricks: Mmm. Detective Samson: In a Prius? Nick Hendricks: I don't win a lot. If you have never seen it they basically plot to kill their Horrible Bosses, though there is debate among my male friends just how horrible it would be to have Jennifer Aniston throwing herself at you. This sparked a conversation with friends about people in our lives that the world would be better off if they were not around. I was surprised in the fact that I was the only one that said no one. Now do not get me wrong there are people that I would love not to personally be in my life anymore but I don’t wish that person dead. That person has people who matter to them.
