First a disclaimer: You are going to hate me and love me at the same time for giving you this recipe. That is all. Moving on. As previously discussed there has been quite a few new readers to my site and with that comes a ton of questions so I’m going to do a quick little about me/this blog to catch people up to speed and if you are a long time reader consider it your refresher course and you might learn something new. :D Peabody: Yep that is my first name. Good thing is when someone shouts it out in a crowd I’m pretty much guaranteed they are calling for me. Which is cool…unless it’s a gunman. MDP: My fiancé name on this blog. I am the only one who gets a name on this blog. Stands for My Defensive Partner because we play ice hockey together as defensive partners. He has two wonderful teenagers (twin boy and girl) that we have every other weekend and on Wednesday s (and we get his 9 year old former step son on that day as well). Chocolate or Bacon that is the question….

First off I want to give a big thank you to those who donated so far to this week’s unexciting but needed telethon (don’t worry I am stopping any and all bugging on Saturday and won’t ask for a year). :) I know a lot of you don’t believe me but I truly mean it when I say that I appreciate any amount you give. The dollar donations are just as meaningful as any larger amount. There are more than enough times in my life where a dollar was a precious thing and I get it…especially the single moms/dads and starving students out there. As well as anyone who has been hit hard with the economy. We were having a discussion on my FB page the other day about if you had to be allergic to either chocolate or bacon which and therefore could never have it again, which would you chose? You might be on a diet if…

If you always ate fast food and sweets and what not and threw back a beer are two and now you are not, don’t be surprised if people ask you if you are on a diet. Tell them yes. Do not tell them some bull-crap story about how no, you are just eating better. You. Are. On. A. Diet. Are you losing weight? On a diet. Do you go to the movie theatre and really, really want movie popcorn but instead sit there and die the whole time while “enjoying” your 12 unsalted almonds or a 90 calorie Special K bar? On a diet. Go to a cupcake place and eat half a cupcake because you are just too full? On a diet. Now if you are, no problem. You want to lose weight and you are taking in less calories. I get that. Just admit that when you are eating less calories you are on a diet. I’m so tired of the over used phrase of lifestyle change. It’s not a lifestyle change. You are on a diet. How to ruin a 7 year olds birthday party…

"Peabody, I will have you know that you taking down your website RUINED my 7 year daughter’s birthday party. My daughter had requested your Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cake which we served for my husband’s birthday a couple of months ago. Imagine my surprise when I opened up my browser to see that your site is no longer running. How am I supposed to make this cake if you site is down? Why put up a website only to take it down? I waited all Saturday night and all Sunday morning for your site to work, I even went to my neighbors to see if it was my computer. I am beyond upset. I had to serve a store bought cake to my guest and daughter. She was crushed." Oh goodie, let’s add Child Birthday Ruiner to my resume shall we, right after ball buster and before dream crusher. First off, I did not voluntarily take my site down. It crashed. My ex (aka webmaster) was out of town and could not see what was wrong as he was in the sticks with very little connection.
