Pull My…Pork…

Sunday is Easter. Wow. Not prepared for that AT all. Are you?

Some people asked how do people steal content. Here is a great article by I Am Baker that talks more about the Facebook pages I was talking about.

We were talking cooking/baking fears on Facebook this weekend. Most people said baking with yeast? Do you agree or do you fear something else?

Ever notice that the people who tell you that the past is the past are the ones who do the crappiest things? And you are to forgive them? Would you say that to someone living next to a sex offender? Oh he/she doesn’t need to register…go let your kids play with them…the past is the past. Yeah, right. Here is an even better idea then telling people they have to forgive and forget the horrible crap you did…don’t do it. Stop being a crappy person that is impossible to respect due to your actions. How about that?

Same thing goes for those who always complain they don’t have money but then you see them check themselves in at the Cheesecake factory on Facebook and are standing there in new $300 Frye boots. How about working more than a part time job? Or how about getting a second job if money is so tight? Or how about…living within your means? Crazy talk I know.

I think if I had to pick a last meal it would be pulled pork sandwich (I think that is what we are serving at the wedding). This one was originally from my Northwest Noshings site. Ever since my parents moved to Idaho and I was introduced to it I have had a love affair with it. They actually sell huckleberry bbq sauce where my parents live but it’s kind of pricey and I had wanted to try my hand at it. It’s our go to sauce when I can find huckleberries. If you can’t find huckleberries in your area try this with blueberries.

  1. We made cheeseburgers for our wedding, and it was so fun. So much better than choosing between chicken and fish and cutting your food with a knife and fork. Pulled pork sandwiches would make an awesome wedding dinner.

  2. I love pulled pork! it is soooo amazing and delicious and mmmm mm mmm good! :)

  3. I love making pulled pork in my slow cooker… the house smells amazing and the pork just falls apart… I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

We had BBQ for our wedding. And fajitas at our rehearsal dinner. So yummy!

  5. BBQ Pulled Pork is my husband’s favorite meal, so this is definitely happening.

Also, you are hilarious. And right. As usual :)

  6. Yeast is definitely my biggest baking fear. Not sure why, but it is intimidating.

I am also a big pulled pork fan, but having lived in NC lean more to the vinegar sauces.

  7. Can I tell you how much I love you for having something as fearless as pulled pork at your wedding? :D My friend’s aunt had them serve everything without the normal sauces/dressings that come on things at her wedding because she was scared she would get some on her dress. You? Psh, stains. Bring on the BBQ! :P I also happen to LOVE barbecue sauce in all forms, so I need to try this. I’ll have to make do with blackberries, though.

I actually tell people the past is the past a lot when they apologize to me for things THEY did…because I forgive them and put it behind me. I’m the only one I know who uses it that way though.

  8. My husband and I are big fans of pulled pork sandwiches :) This sauce sounds delicious!

  9. YEAST IS MY BIGGEST BAKING FEAR! I WISH I HAD SOMEONE WHO COULD COME OVER TO THE HOUSE AND GO THROUGH IT STEP BY STEP WITH ME!!
